Honey Interior Design collects personal data from clients & suppliers for the purpose of conducting its business. We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose personal information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes.
This policy covers how and what data we collect and how we use it. How we hold data, and for how long, and how we delete data.
1.1 Enquiries via the website 'contact' page, by phone, in-bound email or in person will result in personal data being collected - such as name, email address, telephone number and home / business address.
1.2 Information relating to an individuals or organisations style, colour, branding & design preferences as well as interests and hobbies may also be collected as part of the design brief.
1.3 When someone visits www.honeyinteriordesign.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
2.0 Data Storage: How do we hold data & for how long
2.1 Information is held in both electronic and paper format.
2.2 Electronic data is held on an electronic database, mood board and space planning applications, CAD software, as well as in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. All electronic equipment is password protected.
2.3 Paper based notes, drawings, sketches and ideas are also kept in a 'client file'. Client files are housed in a secured (combination locked) filing cabinet and only accessible by Honey Interior Design employees.
2.4 Both electronic equipment and filing cabinet are housed at Honey HQ in a secured, locked office space.
3.0 Data Retention and Deletion
3.1 We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services clients have requested, or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our policies.
3.2 Data will be deleted after it is no longer necessary for us to retain (see 3.1)
3.2.1 Electronic data is permanently deleted from all devices & electronic storage & back-ups facilities.
3.2.2 Hard copies of data containing personally identifiable data are shredded.
4.0 Data Uses: What do we do with data
4.1 We collect data to allow us to correspond with clients & suppliers and in conjunction with carrying out interior design services in both domestic and commercial environments.
4.2 Design Data as per 1.2 is collated to assist in developing a design concept that reflects the interests, characteristics and functionality requirements of the client.
4.3 Data may also be used as part of follow up to client & suppliers such as Thank You notes, additional work phases or projects, and requests for portfolio photography
4.4. Data may be shared with associated third party trades/ suppliers in conjunction with carrying out design work and at the request of or in agreement with the client / supplier.
4.4.1. We attempt to minimise the amount of personal information we disclose to third parties to what is directly relevant and necessary to accomplish the specified purpose
4.4.2 Honey Interior Design can not be held responsible for how third party trades / suppliers handle data but would expect them to fully comply with GDPR.
5.0 Access to Data
5.1 Clients & suppliers can make an information request for data held on them by contacting Honey Interior Design in writing at: Honey HQ, 22, Cheriton Gardens, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2AS.
